Provider Subscription Agreement
Last updated: May 5, 2026
This Provider Subscription Agreement (the “Agreement”) governs your use of AdvOrtho subscription services as a verified orthopaedic provider. It supplements the general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By claiming a profile and starting a paid subscription, you accept this Agreement.
1. Subscription Plans and Fees
AdvOrtho offers tiered subscription plans for providers. Current plans, monthly fees, and included features are listed at advortho.org/for-practices. Pricing is shown at checkout before payment.
- Standard ($59/month) — Verified profile, profile editing, schema markup. 7-day free trial.
- Professional ($199/month) — Everything in Standard plus lead notifications, analytics, exports, eligibility for Competitive Ads. 7-day free trial.
- Premium ($349/month) — Everything in Professional plus included featured placement, Premier badge, priority support. No free trial.
Prices are in U.S. dollars. AdvOrtho may change subscription pricing with at least thirty (30) days' advance notice to active subscribers.
2. Auto-Renewal and Free Trials
Recurring billing. Subscriptions renew automatically each month at the then-current rate until you cancel. By completing checkout, you authorize AdvOrtho (through Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
Free trials. Standard and Professional plans include a 7-day free trial. You may cancel during the trial at no charge. If you do not cancel, your card is charged the monthly rate on day 8, and on the same day each month thereafter.
Cancellation. Cancel anytime via your provider dashboard at /dashboard/settings, or through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain subscription benefits through that date and are not charged again.
3. Refund Policy
Subscription charges are non-refundable. We do not pro-rate mid-cycle cancellations. If you cancel on day 20 of a 30-day cycle, your subscription remains active for the remaining 10 days, then ends without renewal.
Exceptions may be made at AdvOrtho's discretion for billing errors, duplicate charges, or service outages exceeding 24 hours. Email billing@advortho.org within 30 days of the disputed charge.
4. Featured and Competitive Placements
Some plans include or unlock add-on placements (homepage, specialty pages, conditions, procedures, resources, or competitive ads on competitor profiles). Placements are governed by separate per-placement terms shown at the time of purchase, including:
- Premium-included placements have a 30-day initial commitment before they may be cancelled or switched.
- Paid placements (homepage, competitive ads) renew monthly until cancelled.
- Slot availability is limited per placement type, specialty, and location. AdvOrtho does not guarantee availability of any specific slot.
5. Profile Content and Data Ownership
Your content. Content you add to your profile (bio, photo, hours, conditions/procedures treated, insurance accepted, custom FAQs, practice photos) belongs to you. By posting it on AdvOrtho, you grant AdvOrtho a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, format, and distribute it through the AdvOrtho platform and search engine indexing.
Public NPI data. Provider name, NPI, credentials, practice address, and specialty are sourced from the public NPI Registry maintained by CMS. This information remains public regardless of subscription status.
Patient leads. Patient contact requests and cost-estimate inquiries delivered to your account are operational data shared between you and the patient. AdvOrtho retains records for service delivery, audit, and analytics.
Reviews. Patient reviews are user-generated content. Reviews remain on the platform after subscription cancellation. See /reviews-policy for moderation criteria and dispute process.
6. Service Availability
AdvOrtho operates a commercially reasonable, best-effort service. We do not guarantee specific uptime percentages or specific lead volume. Planned maintenance is announced via email when possible. Emergency maintenance may occur without notice.
If the service is materially unavailable for more than 24 continuous hours, contact billing@advortho.org to request a service credit.
7. Provider Obligations
- Maintain accurate professional information including credentials, license status, and practice contact details.
- Keep your AdvOrtho account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Comply with all applicable medical licensing, advertising, and patient-communication laws in your jurisdiction.
- Do not misrepresent affiliations, board certifications, or specialties on your profile.
- Respond to patient leads in a manner consistent with your professional standards. AdvOrtho does not require any specific response time, but timely follow-up improves your conversion rate.
8. Termination
By you. Cancel your subscription anytime via the dashboard. To remove your profile entirely (including the public listing sourced from NPI data), email privacy@advortho.org.
By AdvOrtho. We may suspend or terminate your subscription for: (a) non-payment, (b) misrepresentation of credentials or specialties, (c) violation of these terms or applicable law, (d) loss of medical licensure, or (e) repeated patient complaints. We will provide notice and an opportunity to cure where reasonable.
Upon termination, your subscription benefits cease at the end of the current billing period and your profile reverts to its pre-claim state (public NPI data only) unless you also request profile removal.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold AdvOrtho harmless from claims arising out of: (a) content you post on your profile, (b) your interactions with patients introduced through the platform, (c) your professional services, and (d) your violation of this Agreement or applicable law. AdvOrtho is not a party to the provider-patient relationship and does not provide medical care.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AdvOrtho's aggregate liability under this Agreement is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. AdvOrtho is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost patient revenue or lost referrals.
11. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email at least thirty (30) days before taking effect. Continued use of the subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Dispute Resolution
Disputes arising under this Agreement should first be raised at legal@advortho.org. Most issues are resolved within 14 days. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally are subject to the dispute-resolution clause in the general Terms of Use.
